Sweetums® Cotton Candy Grapes packaging

I don’t like these grapes. I LOVE them!

When I first visited the Kopke Distribution Center in Vineland, New Jersey I was given a tour of the facility. Along the way we stopped at one of the quality control stations where there was an assortment of randomly selected packs of grapes. Skilled KDC professionals examine and scrutinize so that only the best go on to retailers and ultimately into shopping carts.

I was excited to see some of the packaging that I had designed. But I was especially interested in the Cotton Candy grapes. A variety that at the time was unavailable back home in Canada. Then someone handed me a grape and I tasted it for the first time. Wow.

Packaging Design

All of this design was created using vector art from the Vectorvault Vector Library. This allowed a great deal of creative freedom along with creative flexibility. Colours were selected to compliment the fruit and activate appetite appeal with consumers. Small halftone dot patterns helped to convey soft, fluffy, pink clouds for contrast.

The artwork was strategically positioned around ventilation holes and a horizontal zip lock seal. A QR code to take them to the Kopke website.
