Transforming and updating
Storage is an issue for any design studio. Ours is no acceptation. In one small alcove we had some simple sliding storage bins that helped us to separate a wide assortment of art and office supplies. It became a place to put things out of sight rather than to organize properly.

We replaced them with a set of filing cabinets. We positioned them forward which left a space behind and beside them. We designed a perfect box that filed the space against the wall and met the countertops flush.

The area beside the cabinets were transformed into a shelving nook for storage. We covered the surface in 2 thick layers of folded corrugate panels.
Sealed for freshness
We cut a matching glass countertop (.25″ thickness). The weight flattens the corrugate panels in place. It’s easy to clean and is great for displaying projects or even fanning out design sketches.
For the small side section, we designed and built an insert that has a shelf that is perfectly sized for labelled plastic containers. Now, instead of buckets of art supplies, we have a design laboratory. All of our creative ingredients are exactly where they are supposed to be.

Let there be light
A tight row of dimmable cosmetic grade led lights run the inside perimeter of the shelves. 2 layers of custom cut petg plastic (with the protective film left on) form a semi circle diffuser that spans the length of the glass tabletop. It is secured behind the cabinet box and casts an even glow on surface items. White was chosen on purpose to make Juggernaut Studio work pop and photograph well. This area is more than a work surface and presentation area. It’s a launchpad.

One of the best kept secrets in Toronto is the Juggernaut Design Studio. This small space is optimized for functionality and storage. making it a perfect place for brands to thrive. Some projects are marketing related. Others are artistic in nature. All are treated with equal importance and attention to detail.

Stick ’em up!
The magnet wall is ever-changing. Each week projects conclude and transform. making way for new ideas to take shape. It is organic in nature and fun to watch. It also keeps the environment interesting to look at. Like a gallery with new creations cycling through throughout the year.

100% recyclable
Working with corrugate, metal and glass from recycled sources is an added bonus. Less of a mandate and more of a personal challenge. Could we design an affordable space with a thoughtful environmental footprint? – Apparently we can.
Form following function. Woven into the DNA of our studio and the work that it generates.
